I Want One! I Want One! I Want One!

I saw the picture of a girl on a swing that glowed and decided I have to find out more about this, I could see my self having one of these. Wouldn't you like to kick off your sandals hop on a swing a see how far you can go? Now you could do it at night when you can't sleeep, or you want the wind in your hair and of ofcourse just feel like a kid again. Kicking your legs as fast and hard as your can, climbing higher and higher....So when I saw the pic above I followed the maze of links back to the company and lo and behold...Three for Three! How weird is that this company has a logo similar to the ones a few post down???

Band-Aids for Bumblers

I guess I've been slacking with my blogging. Wish I had something funny to give you, but I don't. The good news is that I haven't been curled up in my bed. Progress I guess. I've been to the gym everyday except for Tuesday. I've kept up with my volunteering commitments. Now that I think about it, I wrote a long post Tuesday afternoon about a sad situation that really hit home with me. I didn't publish it. I saved it as a draft. Not sure why, but like I said it really hit me hard. Today's volunteering really help me, maybe more so than the people we were there to help. I left with a good feeling from it. I've learned to take those moments and put them in the tiny front pockect of the pocket of a pair of jeans, then when I need to know that I can get through something, I pull it out. It must be a magic pocket cause it sure does hold alot, and all those bits and pieces usually out weigh whatever I'm trudging through. And if I can only find one cause I wore the wrong jeans, I lick it and use it as a band-aid till I can take care of it later. A Band-Aid doesn't cure anything but it sure does help staunch the outpouring. By the way I use Hello Kitty Band-Aids, I have a box at home, a box in the car and a box at my mom's. Yes, I am that clumsy and I have thin blood that doesn't clot. CSI would have a field day in my house. And my husband is also a B+! Which is why I married him of course!

My Big Boy

This is Zeus. He's big and strong. He acts scary toward strangers but has nothin' but love for us. He loves to cuddle, he loves to lick us for as long as we let him. He's not the brightest crayon in the box, but I guess you can't always have brains and beauty. He knows enough to keep us happy and for some odd reason he knows the names of his toys and will bring you the one you ask for. Most of the time he spend just looking goofy at us like in the picture above. Loving him is uncomplicated and we take comfort in his being part of our family and our home. I wish that everything could be just that easy.

How Men Screw Up Romance

More on Addiction

I'm with a group of friends today at lunch and they were all sharing on their vices, it could be sugar, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, cookies, carbs..whatever you get the point and being powerless over the addiction.

When the oldest (and maybe the wisest) person in the group said "You know you aren't powerless over it if you don't put it in your mouth and swallow"

Immediately I start grinning. I'm not thinking about coffee, chocolate, alcohol or cigarettes at all. I look around the table and seem to be the only one who's mind has taken a trip into the gutter.

But, whatever. Ladies remember nothing has power over you if you don't put it in your mouth and swallow. *grin*

Love-A-Fair

A Carousel Horse Named: Love-A-Fair

Among all the things we did today, the small little fair was probably the highlight of our day. We saw lots of friends, ate really disgusting food and laughed a lot. Honey's other woman was there with us. I don't really mind that he is so in love with her, somehow he manages to make us each feel special. He always likes to point out that she looks at me in awe all of the time. I told him it's not awe it's jealousy! No really she loves you, she's always looking at you! That's only because she only sees me when we bring presents to her, she sees you a few times a week. Anyway it's time you readers meet the other woman. So I've posted a picture of her below.

Alice In Wonderland Tempts Hitchock

In my Friday night web bumbling I found a new Swiss chocolate (Alice) found in a New York City store (Bblessing) . I followed all the links from the original posting to the chocolate shop to the store and lo and behold, I can see why this product appealed to them. See what I mean? If I had my cute little downtown village store here this is kinda how I would keep themes going.

Unprepared and Bumbling

Can you leave the house with everything you need? I can't something always gets left behind. Yesterday it was my cellphone, Wed. a check that I had to deposit, and today my ipod wasn't synched with two new playlists I spent all last night putting together. I charged it and clicked the buttons to sync, and never checked it. So I get to the gym, I'm on the treadmill setting it to my settings and scroll through my playlists, and damn if they aren't there. I was really looking forward to my workout with them too. How is it I can manage to fly to Europe and have everything I need (and more). Yet, I can't leave the house on a daily basis with the few things I need. Hell, sometimes I can't make it from the car to the locker room at the gym without having everything I need.

Oh and besides my ipod today I had a bill in the envelope which I folded and put in my wallet so I could drop it at the post office w/o forgetting it. I forgot to stop at the post office.

Another addiction to feed

I'm hooked. A junkie. I stay up all hours of the night to search for more hoping that I haven't missed one last bit that maybe I overlooked before. I've got four sources for my new love, just in case, to make sure I don't run out. This is my vice forsaking all the others for now, until the honeymoon is over and I have to find something new to reach the same intensity. I just can't help myself.

Yes, I'm addicted to The Sopranos. I'm aware that it's been out for years and years, but I've been a bit busy and just got introduced to it.

Honey: Were there peas in the stirfry we had last night?

Me: Yes, why?

Honey: I thought I just saw one go down when I flushed.

incoming!

Ladies and gentleman, please fasten your seat belts. Either my whole world is about to explode or i'm going to have one hell of an anxiety attack. Logic tells me it is an anxiety attack for which I have just taken a xanax for, but my hands are still shaking and my heartbeat is revved up to about 150bpm. Still another part of my mind is screaming "The sky is falling, the sky is falling" and a shitload of chickens are going to be running around my backyard with their heads cut off. really, I can actually see this vividly in my mind, but it's not as horrible as it sounds, it's more a 'looney tunes' version.

Easter, My Keester!

The freaking Easter Bunny did not stop at my house today. Can you say pissed off? I was expecting the much coveted gold plastic eggs filled with jewels and a basket full of Godiva. Oh and a nice tulip floral arrangement. I got two dougnuts and a cup of coffee. That sucks eggs. Which by the way are all in the fridge white and unboiled. I asked my husband why no Easter Bunny? He said it never occured to him to get me anything..I said what about the Easter Bunny? Are you going to tell me that there isn't Easter Bunny? No, i'm not telling you that. Where does he live? In a hole of course! Where else would one live, besides my house if the Easter Bunny had been nice enough to bestow me one of his spawn. Right about now, I should be holding my stomach and cursing the Easter Bunny for bring so much candy while introducing a fuzzy little bunny to our home. After which I would climb into bed with my new bunny and fall into a sugar induced coma until time for Brunch, you know the big champagne Sunday Brunches where they make waffles and omelets to order, have big steaming roasts of meat, and everything you can imagine under the sun, you stay for a few hours and waddle out like an Easter Chick who was just born because you had to try everything...

So basically none of the above came true this year. We are headed out for an Easter egg hunt and BBQ. An Easter BBQ! And apparently adults aren't allowed to swipe the eggs up before the kids find them..

Oh well Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!!!! Hop to it!

Things heard in my house

Gription- meaning traction with grip.

Honey: Don't you think we need these tub things for gription? You leave the bathtub like an icy sidewalk.

Me: I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Later on I'm folding laundry and it occurs to me that gription isn't a real word, it's just something we say all the time that I had to stop and think about.

On Our Address:

Friend calls: I need your address for my annual security background check. (I'm thinking ... they want Honey to do this???)

Honey: OK, got a pen? Yeah? 1122, yes 1122. Boogie Boogie Avenue.

Friend: Dammit! I was writing that down!

Honey: You'll be lucky if you can get a job at a Temp service after they call me.

Later on picking up the paper at the 7-11, I notice a display of 7-11 job opportunities. Handy little cards that say "Now hiring", a job booklet including an application and some other propaganda. I grab one of each to pass onto friend, just in case.....

I can't stop saying 1122 Boogie Boogie Avenue. Say it! It's fun, like Bung-a-low. Or Pump-kin. you know you want to say it... SOUP-EEEEERRRRR !

Progress

I returned all my dreary books to the library and exchanged them for something a little more light-hearted like psychological thrillers. No more whiny tortured novels. If being married means I had to give up my dark and brooding angst ridden self....I'll try to remember that it is not just me who has to live with me (now if I could only find the "off" button) . And for anybody who has had to live with me, well oops, I didn't know then what I know now. My BIL loves to remind me of way back when I lived with sis and him and I got mad at him for breathing. Apparently I said through clenched teeth.. "Can. You. Please. Stop. Breathing." He finds this funny now and I'm sure he found it funny then, which probably incited me further. I'm sure my feet were stamped and I huffed and pouted.

My neighbor's mailboxes are still intact, I took Honey's Explorer to the library. He wouldn't find mowing down mailboxes funny. Go figure. I find it highly amusing to park MY car in all sorts of ways just to see the look on his face when he walks in from work. Like right up to the garage without actually going through the garage door. Or four feet from the actual right side of the driveway. My backing into the driveway looks like I'm coming out of doing doughnuts in the middle of a field late at night.

Our message button was blinking on the phone. Honey said who called? I dunno, I don't usually look for the light on the phone. It was my psychiatrist confirming my appt for tomorrow. I could almost see Honey doing a freaking Happy Dance in his head.

See I can laugh at myself now THAT proves I'm not crazy. I just gotta keep smiling and nodding until after my appt tomorrow, I don't want any white-coated men being summoned to come take me away. That doesn't sound fun, now does it? Of course it doesn't. If it was fun everybody would be doing it.

Clinical

You know that teeny tiny little screw that holds a pair of glasses together? Such a small little screw, but if it gets loose the whole pair of glasses is broken..an eyepiece floating on top of your cheek, unless you get it fixed it's not worth trying to wear them until you get it fixed. I think I had such a screw in my head work it's way out..how does it get so stripped that is easily slips out?

Do you ever wonder what would happen if your car was a bowling ball and the mailboxes in your neighborhood were pins? How far could you go? Would a mailbox get stuck under the car, would all the people come running out of their houses? Would it be noisy? A quiet thud?

I feel like cooking.

CRASH! (and burn)

Not a creatures been stirring, not even a mouse. For two days. I've been ensconced in my comfy bed, to which I will return to in about 5 mins to watch mindless tv and doze. Nothing exciting happening here. hard to blog when you are sleeping. Have a great weekend everyone! Catch up on your sleep!

Upgrade 3.9

I've been sitting here trying to blog seriously about my decision to get a boob job. It can't be done. The serious post that is. The boob job is simple, well except for cup size. My husband has no preference on that, and mom thinks a D cup will topple me forward onto my face. So anyways I've decided that before I hit 40 39, I will get a boob job. How ya like those apples grapefruit? The end. Almost..the picture is from a product that is called Dtack. It works great huh? A clear duct tape.

These gravity defying ads for DTACK - Adhesive tape, use extreme examples for the tapes use in hilarious ways. As funny as it may seem, the humor is also very relevant in today's age defying conscious society. We think perhaps the male version of the ad may have been a little extreme! by Andy G (Thecoolhunter.net)

Oh To Be A Bad Ass 3 year Old

This girl totally needs to come to my house...

Finally!

I think I have adjusted to the time change! I woke up unaided and in a good mode with plenty of time to spare before I leave the house to meet friends at noon. I really hate waking up and just rushing out the door or having to cut things out of my day just because I don't have time. maybe now I can shake the dismal blahs and the dragging my feet all day feeling...

Last night I watched Will Smith's 'The Pursuit of Happyness". I give it 4 q's!. It really made me appreciate the things I have and how great was he with his kid? I am glad the story ended the way it did and I don't know what hole I had my head in but I don't think I knew it was a true story until it was about to role credits.. I'm not going to say much more about it because I know the DVD is newly released, I'm surprised I received it so soon from Netfliz but I have had it in my hold section since it was in the theaters.

B.U.M.

I'd say that I've been a beach bum all weekend and today, but I was too lazy to even make it to the beach. Or the pool. I did workout Sat & Sun.. Today I woke up so late my whole day was screwed. So I decided to go with the flow instead of rushing to accomplish everything I had set my mind on doing. I vistited my mom who came back after midnight from the Dominican Republic where she stayed in all-inclusive resort. She picked up two small cigars for my husband. He really wanted a box of cigars, but she said the prices were high and she didn't know what to get. I told her not to worry if he wants some we can order them online or just go to the mall. It is confusing if you don't know what you are looking for. After that I went to the grocery store and wandered up and down the aisles, too lazy to think about what I needed. And now I have a pan of chocolate muffins in the oven, my husband asked me to bake something for a co-worker who had made us some monkey bread and sent it over on one of their platters, so of course we have to send back something for them on their plate. I actually like to bake, I just don't do it a lot anymore, honey would eat everything and he is trying so hard now (he's at the gym now). I did fold and hang up the laundry in the dryer and emptied the dishwasher. Real exciting stuff huh? Yep, that's me life in the fast line (in a toyota sedan). It's not too late to go the gym but my hearts not in it and I still haven't had a coffee or a energy drink. So I should just change out of my gym clothes and into pj's, right after I call to get two early bird specials to go. Just kidding, I'm not in Boca or Miami Beach anymore. And we damn sure don't have a Wolfie Cohen's around here....

Books, Books, Books and More Books!!!

Hollywood ladies are starting a book club, which should be interesting..just what is it that the celebs read? Somehow I don't see them blogging or reading the tabloids..so what's on their list?? Somehow I can't see this club becoming the next Oprah's Book Club type of reading..who knows maybe Target will jump on it and say "The Celebrity Hollywood Wive's Book Of The Month Club"

I found this on The Superficial

Victoria Beckham is allegedly starting up a Hollywood book club, with Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez set to join. She plans for members of the book club to meet once a month at each other's houses where they'll discuss the book they've been reading. A source tells the Daily Star:

"When Victoria told Katie about a book club, Katie thought it was a great idea, especially as she would love to learn more about British classics. Victoria has asked five of her friends, including Jennifer Lopez and Katie, to become members."

Keep in mind this is Posh Spice, who awhile ago admitted to have never read a single book in her entire life. At their first meeting everybody will be ready to discuss Pride and Prejudice and she'll have brought a copy of Green Eggs and Ham. Then before they even start she'll break down and admit she rented the movie.

Reprogramming TTQ

I'm trying something new, I am trying to take things in my life that I always avoided because they reminded me of bad memories and replace them with new memories. If I hear a certain song, smell a perfume, sometimes I am overcome with sadness, anxiety and fear. I don't want to be stuck in the past or avoid things that at one time I loved until..until whatever event caused me to associate it with a song or a smell or even a food or drink. Hence the reprogramming I add a few songs to my ipod and try to listen to them as I would any other new song, I'm going to start smelling those perfumes until I remember that I am in the here and now. Granted I may never buy those perfumes again, but I want to be able to smell it and be okay with it and not be inexplicably flung into the dark corners of dusty skeletons in my brain. I choose today to be happy, joyous and free. To share my experience, strength and hope.. No more scars to be explained and a long bloody tale to be told with it. The things that happened in my life happened, I can't change that, but I can change today and tomorrow. I'm building new memories, good memories. My life is good now and I need to keep that perspective. But it's not going to be overnight and I'm sure I need to stay on the path I am on now. It's not the end of the road. At no point does it say stop and take a break, slide back into your old shoes and take the road less traveled. Not until you have your backpack full of the things you may need and can grab them easily, for now I must be content with listening to others who have gone the path before me and ended up on the other side and now hold out their hands in welcome at each overpass. And I in return shall grab the hands that are there in case I stumble.

No More Overdue Fines!!!

Tomorrow I swear to go the library and return my books one day early. Which for me is a major event and I usually end up forking over as much money on fines as I would buying a book a month. I have a notebook filled with books I want to read, so I won't be wandering aimlessly. I've just finished my library books today. Granted they were easy reading books. So next I'm going to go a little into the deeper ones, I found two on two different blogs that sound interesting for one reason or another. Thanks to all the Bloggers who share what they read.. I know I need to update my sidebar of books (and links to other blogs I read)....But lets just start with getting books back to the library on time and returning Netflix more than just once in a month. I really should just cancel it...I can do pay per view rather cheaply with the Dish.

I'll be returning:

Predator, author Patricia Cornwell

You'll Never Nanny In This Town Again; True Adventures of a Hollywood Nanny, author Suzanne Hanson

I'll be checking out these books if they have them:

House of Meetings, author Martin Amis

Veronika Decides To Die, author Paulo Coelho

OW! I Think I hurt Myself!

I've been a bit hyper the past few days..and of course I head to the gym to work it out of me so that maybe, just maybe I can get to bed before 3am and without an ambien which makes you want to eat (last night I had two handfuls of ginger snaps around 2am maybe more)... I did 8 miles on Sunday in 2 hours (all treadmill), 2 miles in 30 mins on Monday, and today I did 9.25 miles in 2 and a half hours. I didn't feel it till I had driven to the pharmacy and got out to walk in the store to pick it up..and now..just ow. Seriously. Ow. My goal is to be able to run a 7 min mile. So some days I work on my speed and days like today I work on my endurance. Anyways I've burned about 2,200 calories in the past three days. I've been working out non-stop for a month and my friggin scale won't budge past a certain weight, which I will not disclose. My Dr. said 10 more pounds would be more than ideal.. I'm thinking 20 would be optimum. But the scale is not playing nice. I know I know..the fat is turning to muscle which weighs more than fat. Save it, I've heard it from everyone. Arrrgh!

Oh My! A Total Mouth Orgasm!

It's tomato picking time here at TTQ's. We have grape tomatos, cherry tomatos, campari tomatos, big boy tomatoes, plum tomatoes..You name it we have them, most of them grown from seeds. Today we picked probably two pints of grape and cherry ones, The cherry ones were the best tasting to me, Honey likes the grapes. Mom is missing out cause she flew off to the Dominican Republic this morning. The good news is if the weather stays this way we will have some type or another all the way through Fall. More than we can eat. So we give them away. It works out great, I eat vegetarian 98% of the time, and honey loves to grow stuff..yes our backyard on the canal is a fully functioning garden. It used to drive me nuts that it all seemed so hodge podge and undecorative, but we seem to have struck a balance lately between ornamental and food plants. In fact I have new plant that is like a bush but could be groomed into a tree its called a starburst plant, or at least that's what the people he got it from call it. I would go take pictures of the baskets of tomatos I picked and the starburst plant, but my camera batteries are dead after yesterdays Easter shoot. Plus we ate most of the tomatos like grapes, but the vines are overborn with green ones..

This is my garden hat...as you can tell I'm as pale as a ghost. I avoid the sun at all costs. Dr's orders..whatta ya goin do? Don a cowboy hat! I even have garden clogs. Today I forgot I had my inside track shoes on and went in the dirt with them on. Luckily it was dry. I think one of my favorite things to do is to take the ones that don't meet my standards and pitch them full force over the fence into the canal. I think I almost hit an Egret today. Whoops.. didn't see him there until I had already launched it. I also like to put them in my shirt like they do in South America with their skirts..makes me feel farmy or something like that. you can take the girl outta the city and she'll laugh at everything she does in a small town.

Easter Finery

Yes, is it's that time of year. Little girls in mary-janes with ruffled socks, little white gloves adorned with satin roses, pretty Easter bonnets and a new dress in the same pastels as Spring flowers. Last year my baby was quite content to let me dress her up and photograph her. This year, well it's going to take another photo shoot at least to capture her in a good mood. Maybe I shouldn't have plucked her up while she was begging for more food. Honey even got in the spirit with us and placed her on the opposite edge of the bed so she could glide down a make believe catwalk towards me. Here is last years photo:

And here is a so-so one of this year:

Eva Longoria Plays Dress Up Barbie!

It's time to play my favorite game! That's right folks it's "Life Imitating Barbie!" Eva Longoria from Desperate Housewives (of course) is now the spokes-model for BeBe Sport replacing Mischa Barton (who has the most bizarre taste in her wardrobe). I guess they figured little Eva was a little more polished and perkier. Can't say that I disagree. That and she wasn't firing up a joint every time she went on shoot like Mischa was rumored to be doing. So here is the Barbie:

And here is Eva:

Adopt a Bunny For Easter!

Okay so basically, It's been established that I will not be receiving a cute little bunny for Easter. Nor am I to bring one home unannounced (who am I kidding? announced or otherwise). So just in time for Easter I stumbled upon this delightful little gadget..it's called a Nabaztag..and it becomes part of your home environment much like your pets, husbands and Roombas. I figure the cost is way less than what an actual Bunny would run ya after purchasing a cage, a litter box, food, carrots, a rabbit hole, and cute little bows for it's ears and of course the occasional dying of the fur for special occasions. I mean really, besides amusement what do you get from a live bunny? A rabbits foot when it dies? Just kidding..I would never condone the actual chopping of rabbits foot off. That's just wrong. Okay.. back to Nabaztag. I've decided that Roomba needs a friend, nobody pays any attention to her anymore, they barely move when she comes in the room.. All Nabaztag needs to move in is a wi-fi home. You can even marry your rabbit to another one! Nabaztag will wake you up, read you news headlines or weblogs & websites , record and play messages for your family, alert you to incoming e-mail..Text messages keeping you in touch with friends and family? Nabaztag can read and deliver them to you! And did I mention he does Tai-Chi?

Duh Da Da Da DA Inspector Gadget!

Go Go Gadget Go!

So you wanna check out what somebody's up to? You could google him, or if you work in a car dealership you could run his credit (I'm not kidding folks, I had a friend who did this) ,or you can check out the property appraiser's web-site, the sex offenders web-site..and once you get access to his pc, you could pick up this handy little usb device.

Snoopstick article on The DailyCandy.Com
The USB flash drive allows you to monitor a computer in real time. Plug it into the machine whose activity you want to keep tabs on and download the software. (PCs only — Mac users are safe on home base.) Then put the contraption into any PC and get directly connected to the computer you’re staking out. Your victim will have no evidence of the trespass, so stick it where you want (and hope that he hasn’t).

Available online at Snoopstick.com
P.S. TTQ would never use this against Honey or any of her friends or family (unless Mom got Alzheimers and her Social Security Check was spent before she even got it), but it's good to know that the average person can get their grubby little paws on this. Which makes this device reason #6,789,286 not to ever let anyone put their grubby hands on my precious pc. Isn't that right baby you sweet little thang, good pc, good pc. Mommy will protect you from those mean bitches.
P.P.S. I suggest that everyone who reads this should yank a hair or three out of their heads to tape over the usb drives, just to make sure their pc hasn't been tampered with.

Bleep. Message deleted

You know what I love about Friday afternoon posts? Nobody really reads them, I post a few more over the weekend and this one will just go by the wayside. Which is fine by me, I'm slowly creeping into hermit mode. I have no desire to hold converstions, so I've been making excuses to my friends that I really can't dilly-dally with them and I must be on my way. I don't think I've answered the phone more than once or twice this week, much to the chargin of my husband, I keep letting the messages go unheard too. Everytime I flip the phone open, there are more unheard messages, which I know I will never listen too. Bleep, message deleted.
Honey asked if I was mad at him today.. I said no why? He said you are so very quiet. Yeah, I know..but I'm not mad. I wouldn't have made you dinner if I were mad, now would I? Luckily for him, he knows when to give me room.
I was up most of last night and then of course I didn't want to get up and get going today.
I saw a friend at the gym today, she went two treads down from me, we nodded and said hey, and she started her run. I like a silent workout partner. It's not like I want to avoid PEOPLE, I want to avoid conversation. I'm not one to talk incessantley just to fill the air. Though you would never know that from my blog. I write to fill up space. I think my sister said something along those lines in one of her posts.

Where has the time gone? My last post was on monday, so I can kinda account for that day. But it is Thursday now, what have I been doing? I feel like i'm in a time warp. Let's see Monday night I watched Marie Antoinette. Tuesday, Tuesday...hmmm Tuesday.. Ahhh yes Tuesday night, we went to Wal-Mart, my mouse was/is pretty grungy and quit working, but not because it was grungy (yeah right), so Honey bribed me with the chance to stroll the electronics department for new toys. He actually stood in line to get his own deli meat! But the rules were no salami or bologna..it had to be ham, turkey or roast beef. he called me from the deli counter to see if I would budge on that. I don't eat it, I'm suppose to be helping him eat more healthy. We actually cook two dinners a night here, mine and his. I'm 98% vegetarian, plus no salt and low fat.

Okay now that I've accounted for Tuesday, I know I slept all day yesterday, never left the house and didn't want to leave again today but I had a lunch date and I had to get to the gym, and now I'm trying to create a LiveJournal account so my sister can invite me to read her by invitation only blog, I can post new posts but I can't leave one with my name, I never got the confirmation e-mail and I asked them to send it twice in the last hour, maybe because I didn't sign up for the paid account..very frustrating. Anywho's I'm thettq on Live Journal. Am I suppose to maintain both blogs now?

Where the hell am I?

Maybe you've noticed that the past few posts have been well, not about me, basically I've been aimlessly bumbling around the web. And for some odd reason, I've decided to blog about what I found. I think my brain went on vacation without telling me. I'm in good spirits, albeit a bit tired today, I hate the time change. I have no idea why I don't have a single amusing, witty or intellectual thought in my head. I just don't, and here's the part I worry about maybe I'll NEVER have a another original thought in my head. Maybe all this working out has made me a zombie. While I'm exercising I get in this zone and just keep going. Then I come home and do all the crap around the house that needs to be done. Pretty boring huh? I did start two Easter Baskets for our little friends, so that is kinda fun. I wonder how pissed their mom and dad would be if I got them a bunny or some baby ducks, they like u,s have a canal behind the house. Okay so it's really me that wants these little creatures. the cat pretty much holds her own with our Doberman (actually she beats the crap out of him a lot), but a bunny? I don't think it can fight back against any of our crew. Which leaves us with ducks, as far as I know there aren't any gators in our canal... and how cute would it be to have a bunch of downy chicks running around?

I Loved This Movie!

How is that I never saw this Barbie like doll before?? I loved the movie, and this doll is just perfect for putting among my wedding pictures on my mantle.Don't you think? Or maybe I can find a space on the hutch on my desk. Either way she makes me giggle. Little know fact: Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were the models for the doll. (ok not really, but they sure look eerily the same)

Two Peas In A Pod Only Different

You ever wonder why Courtney Love is still alive and Anna Nicole Smith isn't? Think about it. Courtney has a long history of heavy partying, self -destructive behavior and her image is well, unstable. Everytime I see her picture I wonder what she has done this time or is she finally dead. You know like a Sid and Nancy kinda thing. Nancy..dead, Sid..dead, Kurt Cobain..dead. Courtney alive and kicking (sometimes literally) at 42 despite her wild child attitude. She's even paling around with Paris Hilton, Joel Madden, and Nicole Ritchie Look at the pic if you don't believe me, I bet they get together for a night of putt-putt and ice cream.

I think Anna kinda wore off on her a bit, and it ain't pretty people.
Least you forgot what a wreck she is..here are a few pics of the good ole Courtney America loves

The Newest Drinking Game in New Orleans

We all know that Bradd Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased a home in New Orleans..but did you ever stop and think about what it would be like living next to the popular pair. Especially a pair consisting of a guy that all girls have a crush on and a women that men adore? I found this on MetroBlogging New Orleans.

Ok I know Brangelina moved in a while ago but living across the street just keeps getting better and better.

About a week ago, I am lying in bed, it's 2 am, I hear a gaggle of girls;

"You do it..." *giggles*
"No, you do it..." *giggles*

"BRAD!!" *giggles* (the patter of feet on sidewalk) "Oh, my God" *giggles*

then again at about 3:30 am;
*giggles*
"I can't believe I'm doing this" *giggles*
"BRAD!!!" *giggles* (feet hitting sidewalk as giggles fade)

Once again at about 4:45 am;

"Ready??" *giggles*
(altogether now) "1,2,3...BRAD" *giggles, giggles, giggles* (they all turn and run toward Decatur)

This has happened a few times in the past few weeks all girls until last night:

3 am
*manly chuckles*
"Angie, I Love You!!!" *chuckles*
"I can't believe you did that" *chuckles*
"Oh my God, man." *chuckles*
"Shut up, man" (chuckles fade as they head back down the sidewalk)

Please help me

I really really need a web cam..if you could only see my husband downloading sappy love songs , singing and dancing to them..

You would be scared. I am..especially the chippendale-esq dance I just got while sitting at my desk minding my own buisnes

Random Grab Bag

Me: Did I tell you I saw Elvis at the gym?

Honey: No.

Me: He was dressed all in black like Johnny Cash, had a belly like Elvis did later on, dyed black hair, mutton chops

Honey: Yeah that's so and so.

Me: Damn, you know everybody

Honey: He supposedly really good

Me: Did I tell you I saw Abe Lincoln yesterday or today?

Honey: Oh that's so and so. He talks in first person when doing his thing, even dyes his hair when he needs too.

Me: Okay but what about the old people? The ones that drape themselves on the weight machines and seem to have forgotten why they are sitting there or where they are, they sit there for about 5 mins with blank looks on their faces.

Honey: Now that's funny, I haven't noticed that yet.

Me: I just happened to figure out this week that it is social hour for the geriatrics from 10-12. The good news is they don't last long on the cardio equipment, they come and go so quickly.

In other useless news it was forget to replace your gas cap and leave the little door day, I counted at least 5 cars on one stretch of my way into Orange County today. I also encountered alot of roadkill, which my sister would probably stop and photograph.

And what about the young lads who insist on playing the bass so loud in their cars that it actually gives you a migraine because he insists on following me, probably because I am trying to speed away from him, thus he wants to speed while rattling my teeth. I thought about slamming on the brakes as my evasive techniques did not seem to be working, then I thought about jumping out of my car like a lunatic at a red light to berate him for making my throbbing head, ear drum popping, teeth rattling body want to tear him a new asshole much that if I had a permit to carry a gun, I might have been tempted to use it.

Good things about today, the toll booth seemed to be stuck on Thank You and the green light, but being a big believer in Karma..I paid it anyways, I had already dug out the correct coinage afterall and it was the right thing to do. Oh and I got to see my primary care Dr who I love, I'm usually visiting specialists for my health care, but she gets copied on everything and we chatted forever. Seriously she is like the best DR well maybe 2nd best since I see my GI like every month. Those two make it worth the drive to Orlando..

My karma thing worked out. When I pulled in my driveway It looked like the lawn had been mowed. I knew honey had an hour between appts and was going to stop home but doing the lawn not enough time..it was edged and blown too. It wasn't high but I'm sure honey would have mowed it this weekend (We have the best lawn on the street) Turns out our friend who owns a lawnscape buisness was on our street today, I had chatted with him before I left for Orlando, he either did it himself or had one of his guys do it..but how cool is that?

It's really ok not to finish a book or movie

I'm returning Netflix movies without finishing watching them. I do that a lot these days. I use to be able to watch any movie, not so much now. And books? I thought if it was given to me or I checked it out or bought it, I actually had to read it. All of it. Now, I return books that I haven't even cracked open, maybe someday I'll check it out again. The fines were killing me. It finally dawned on me that maybe the reason I couldn't get into it is because it sucked. I use to think if it was published or somebody made a movie out of it, it HAD to be good, and something was wrong with me if I couldn't trudge through it. Maybe as I get older and less influenced by what I read or watch, I'm defining my personal taste. Believe me when I do stumble upon a writer I love now, I go through all of their books at an alarming rate. So I know I can still see the words and actually have them sink in. I use to scoff at my husband for not wanting to watch the newest indie flick I ordered from Netflix, I thought maybe he should broaden his horizons give it a shake you know, see how other people do things.
So today I put two of the movies I rented back into their envelopes to send back. One I watched, the other just kinda sucked and I turned it off after 5 mins of it. And I have one more here at home, which still might pan out to be a good flick, I still have to give it a go. But I won't watch it to the end just because I have it.

4 miles on foot to nowhere.

Work It Girl Part 2

Thanks to Karen over at 17 kinds of Bored I had a kick ass playlist on my ipod that was new and different to me. A few of those songs are going to be used again in upcoming playlists..

Alas, I need a new playlist, this is where you readers come in. Leave a playlist or even just your favorite song to work out to, or just dance.. in the comments or as a blog post and let me know. Of course the winner will get a post dedicated to her or him and your list will be out there for all of blogland to enjoy.

Complicated TTQ Rants

Do you ever get more info than you need and get annoyed? Honey's Explorer didn't want to start, so when I call him on my way out for the day to say good morning. He said, I have been waiting all morning for you to call and say you are awake. I was already in the car and halfway to my first place, and he starts telling me about his battery and what is was doing and what he had to do to get to work. I said okay, but what do you want me to do? And off he went about how bad his battery is and if we took it to this one place they will check the old one and replace it, yadda yadda. I said fine, but what do I need to do? Well we could go together and have it done then go the gym, or we could do this or we could do this, and I could do that. I said "So WHAT is it exactly that you need me to do? I've already left the house". Oh!, he says, "so I can't pick up the right debit card 'cause it's with you?" And then goes on about the battery AGAIN. Fuck.
Finally I say:
I'll tell you what I'll do, I'll turn around go back home and leave the card on your desk, if you think your car will start to take it to the auto repair place, go there after work and get what you need for the truck. Simple eh? "Oh by the way," he says "The Explorer doesn't have any gas in it. Maybe that's reason it didn't want to start". Oh for the love of... Do I need to meet you at work? No? Good. Call me if you need me. End of story. Except maybe he needed more caffine or maybe a xanax...something..anything..

16 Miles To No Where

Today I logged in 16 miles at the gym, 3 and a half on foot and 13 on the bike. Just when I was getting that exercise high, I had to leave to make it home before Honey went to a meeting tonight. That sucks, when I get that extra push, I just want to go for miles and miles. I make my playlists an hour and half, I switch playlists from the treadmill to the bike. I'm not so much into the weights yet, I never seem to have the time to hit them. I met Honey at the gym and he got there first, so headed home first. Not sure if I like him working out with me, I kept having to pull an ear plug out...plus he kept poking me from his bike. Big Baby, but it is nice when I walk in and he is there holding a bike for me. Or if I'm there first, it always make me smile when he walks in. Must be love, eh?

A will and a way?

Do you have a will? I don't. I'm 33 and planning my estate. Yeah, um. My estate and my husband's estate. Depressing, no? He's for sure he's going first, he is 11 years older than I am. I'm for sure I am going first. But really, who knows? We both just want to make sure that the other one is taken care of. Oh and the event we both go? Our animals get everything.

Oh wait don't I have to be of sound mind to do this? Ahahahahahahahaha...

Ice cream trucks scare me

The other day he was playing Happy Birthday, today he is playing Christmas Music. I have never seen him sell ANYTHING. Seriously, it gives me the creeps. The truck itself looks like it may be the same truck that we use to buy ice cream from back when it was safe and we were kids. Would you let your kid run out to the street to buy ice cream from an ice cream guy playing Christmas music?

Um yeah

Still got nothin. But it's hard to have something when you don't get out of bed. No interest in shopping (gasp!) , canceled a lunch date, and well I've got nothing cause I have done anything. Including brushing my hair, I did wash it though. And I'm still brushing my teeth so that's something. And I lost 2lbs lying in bed all week. Which I'm sure I put back on today, I ordered a large turkey sub with mayo . And I had chips. I normally don't eat meat or salt so that's gonna make the scale swing high. I still have 1/4 left of it too. You know what would be good right now? Doughnuts.
