The Return of TTQ!!!

This what I'm feeling today, "it" must have been building for I'm not going to wax poetic over "it", analyze "it" or be long winded this it..list form

PMS- Poor me Syndrome

Disconnected...I can't hear you, I can't see you, I can't grasp what you are saying...
Anti-social...I don't want to hear you, I don't want to see you, I could care less what you are saying....
Guilty... for not keeping up my lunch dates and returning phone calls, for leaving my cell phone in the car on purpose..
Resentful...for having to be home at the same time every day to take care of the animals..
Pouty ....I blame the sun and my Fendi's for breaking on me, I have back up sun glasses but that's not the point.
Pissed... that Lowe's only had two out of 5 things I needed, I can't find a new duvet cover I like, and I spent a shit load of money today, but it was all errand type things, Post Office, Office Depot, Lowe's, Target and the only thing I bought for me was some room spray (not the airwick crap, the fine home fragrance type) Oh well, at least I have a nice new toilet seat. And pretty scented air...
Disgusted... my beagle is doing obscene things to my doberman. Poor little guy really, he never did "stud". But he still gets all randy and takes it out on our dobie...who is "fixed". So I dunno what that all equals out to..

I wish I could just click my brain to another place with a click of my mouse.. I'm going to go make some Ass-Kickin playlists, so i can blast it in my car if I feel this bitchy again.

Ernesto is just a little storm..couple of power flickers, some rain, no real wind. However it was enough rain to catch an object and fling it through the screen on our Florida Room. The one we just replaced from last years storms. Lucky, Lucky we are. Honey only had to work half a day, but I had already left for a noon lunch appt. He wanted to maybe catch an matinee movie..I offered to turn around and come back, as he will be going to Ocala tomorrow. Instead, he decided to nap, great day for it. TJ Maxx was wonderfully unbusy, but I didn't find what I was looking for...

Getting back into blogging is as hard as it was to start. maybe all my routines are hard to get back in the habit of after being away for a week..
2:15 am-

The rain is suppose to start today.... Babyfred and I are up checking the weather. Everybody else is sound asleep in the bed...

Home at last...

The flight was early..I didn't have to page honey in the airport. the house was miserabley hot.. but the a/c guy was here was here by 9:00 am. so all is good now. Honey had the day off, so we made a trip to Wal-mart, which was empty, surprisingly enough considering we have a hurricane coming. We also made a trip to Bed Bath & Beyond...nothing there really would replace the duvet cover our doberman ate while I was gone, but I dug through some of my "back ups" and managed to be satisfied for now. I'm very picky when it comes to bed linens as far as thread counts and them being 100% cotton.
Now we settle in and wait for the storm or lack of storm...

Day 7 in Maryland...

Thursday- Umm..can't remember that far back...

Friday- Movie, Mall and Dinner.. "How To Eat Fried Worms", Pf Chang's (Where are the all noodle dishes look like worms)

Saturday- Back to school BBQ and Ice Cream Party at neighbor's house.. I had to go to prove that I do indeed exisit... Honey reported that our air conditioner is on the fritz, our doberman has consumed another duvet cover AND the comforter the cover was over...which means, I get to redo the bedroom AGAIN!

Sunday- Currently watching the kids while my sister and her husband are at church. Woke up to one kid having a tantrum, had to plunge toilet in the boy's bathroom... off to a rollicking day!

I fly home tommorrow evening....

Drums, Piano or Guitar?

Drums, yes! Everybody has vacated the house, and here I am with a piano, a drum set, and guitar. Hmmm, which will it be? Drums, yep. Okay located drum sticks, sit down get familiar with the peddles, a one, a two, a three.... I SUCK. Give up.

Hmmm, maybe I should try the air hockey game, I think I use to kick some ass. Shit. I can't find the pucks or the on switch. Give Up.

Foos Ball really takes two or more to play.... Don't even bother to try, one less thing to find out I'm a dumbass.

Write this blog post. See I can start and finish something, not to brag but this is my third post today...okay I have too much time on my hands.

On the other hand I started a book Monday night on the plane and finished it today. I loved it!

I know I have a lurker who is suppose to be working now, so let me ask this-- How did two kids turn into three then turn into five!!! I cut two off at the pass heading downstairs to the gamecube, reminded the original two that screen time is over and they need to straighten up their room before their mom gets home (Yes, my lovely lurker-you). Wait five kids turned into no kids! Where are my original two? Oh wait one came back, to ask if two can go down the street, nope, their room needs to be cleaned before we go get mom for the fourth time I tell them. One kid vanishes and another reappears to see if he can muster a yes out of me. NO! Like I just told #1 your room needs to be cleaned before we go get mom. #3 who does not live here appears to have moved on after spending the the majority of the day here. No grapes here, no video games and cleaning a room seems to do the trick in the removal non-native kids in this household.
Agggghhh! Yesterday it seemed like all my fave bloggers were talking about what they would do if it was their last day on earth. Or how they almost died. Totally unrelated, I get an e-mail from a woman that I had a lunch date set for this week before I flew to MD, on the spur of the moment. The e-mail subject..How we should never expect some day to arrive. Then I check my voice mail, a friend was calling to make sure my plane got here in one piece and that I hadn't spontaneously combusted
You know that glitter in a wedding invitation I was bitchin about a few days ago? Send it by the truckful if it means we will get off the subject of death.
I missed my husband last night, what a lonely bed w/o him and our babies. I did get the sweetest e-mail from him, I was going to post in my blog because it was so damn sweet.
Today I drove my sister into work, got lost on the way home...called her and she guided me back to where I could take it from there. I took the youngest of her children to the dentist at 10:30 she said his appt was at 11:00, yep 11:00 next Wed the 30th, the receptionist said. Okay, no biggie...but then they said hang on a minute, they could probably take him right away before the real person with today's 11 am appt got there. Ok cool.
No food for 20 mins after the appt, ok, I can remember that. I offered up Mickey D's after a quick trip to the grocery store. But they had to know how to get there, nope they said they never pay attention they told me. Grilled cheese at home it is. I have no idea how to get to Mickey D's.

Tuesday, August 22, 2006

Ok what's with all the morbid bloggers today? Everybody is talking about death. That's a hard subject for me, two years ago I was in and out of hospitals almost every month, the final time was for a a month. I was in a coma for most of it, so I don't really remember too much. Just that I tried to say goodbye in the ER room to my family but I couldn't, there was a breathing tube down my throat. I tried pointing to my eye for "I", then to my heart for "love" ", then to them for "you". All my family came down to Ft. Lauderdale where I was living because they were told I wasn't going to make it. My friends, family and co-workers would come and read to me, not knowing if I could hear them, one of my best friends would sing in my ear a silly little song from "Anger Mgmt".
That's all I can write on this today, or maybe for a long time. It makes me sad.

A hop, a skip and a jump.

I'm in MD writing this post. I had no intentions on coming here, however a quick plane ride and I am here at my eldest sister's house. I'm playing Mary Poppins, her kids do not go back to school until next Monday, and she needed to get some work done and had no day care or camps lined up this week. So I offered my services and here I am. Funny enough I was here last summer at the same time. I'll get to get them from the bus stop after their first day of school. I'm looking forward to a week here watching and playing with my nephews and the neighborhood kids. Honey is sad that I left, and a bit surprised that I woke up and by noon , I had a flight here. He will be fine, and of course we can e-mail and talk a few times a day. Gotta love those family plans on the cell phones. I'll miss him as well. But I think it's good that we give each other space. I did decide that going to Paris with my mom for Thanksgiving was not a good idea. What kind of wife flies off the Europe w/o her husband the first year they are married! He said if I really wanted to go then I should go.
So this week I will be a surrogate stay at home. Maybe I'll even cook...

Just stop it ok? Really. I mean it! stop!

With sending cards with glitter hearts and crap. Stop. It's not new, it's not cute, it sucks. This particular card had not only tiny red foil hearts, it had freaking fairy dust glitter. My floor was just vaccumed, my desk had just been cleaned, and I have animals for crap's sake. Now I keep seeing little hearts, and every time I go to brush my hair out of my eyes I leave a trail of fairy dust. I'm not six, I'm not dancing in a g-string for money, and it's not Halloween. It was a wedding invitation! And there is glitter everywhere and fairy dust fine as in smaller than sand fairy dust. Just freaking great. Just wait until Christmas Cards go out, I'm saving this stuff to send back. Really.

I heard it from a friend, who it heard it from a friend, who heard from another that you been messin around..

I was just thinking about a chart they showed in sex ed when I was in the 9th or 10th grade. It was like a pyramid scheme.. Two teens have sex before marriage, each of them goes off and has 20 partners before they settle in with #20 ( Thanks Karyn for the number!) . Each of those people have 20 partners who have another 20 each and pretty soon your at 80 bajillion people who have shared the same DNA through, saliva, semen, well you get the picture...
Anyway, the point of this is....Blogging is like sex...we find a blogger we like, we get to know them, we establish a relationship through comments, then we start to get to know the people who read that particular blogger, and while we visit their blog we might see something interesting in one of their blog rolls, so we click on that, and it goes on and on ad nausem...
Absolutely mind boggling.....

I got me a smoker, boys. That's right, a Brinkman charcoal smoker.. I reckon I can squeeze a few hams in there. See, my husband is a southern gentleman, as was my father. We have a cast iron skillet orgins unknown, just one of the things that was here in his parents home, that we call home now.
Gone is Gladys, the housekeeper who used to knock him upside the head from time to time. He still calls her to check on her these days. He keeps his memories alive by devoting part of our backyard into a garden with turnips, mustard and collards. We harvest enough tomatoes to feed the neighborhood, though we share with friends and family only as they are in high demand.
Our house is an interesting mix of our belongings, I put my fancy china from my mother's mother on his parent's country sideboard he calls a Hutch. I have pictures of my foreign travels , he has newspaper clippings of his baseball career. My music spans the spectrum, his music is country rock and country. He's a sucker for slow dancing, opening car doors and never letting a woman drive when he is in the car. A woman's decision is that of the family's, and what she says goes. It's her house, not his. A good day off for him is one he can spend in the yard working then napping to a baseball game, a car race, or just Fox News. He loves his country, the land of the free, the home of the brave. He walks right up to uniformed men to shake their hand and look them in the eye and say thank you for serving for us. It's his right as an American Man.
So I bought that new smoker, the one he has wanted for a long time and some new patio furniture, so we can sit outside in the Fall when the heat has broke from a long hot summer. We will have people over on the weekends to our home. Everyone is welcome and we enjoy the company, it's a nice way to catch up after a busy week.

I've been found out.
I got my first disapproving look from my dear husband. Caught with my hand in the cookie jar. Me, the more "responsible" one of us. The charge? Late library books. I got a late notice, that usually doesn't happen, usually the are just a few days late and I pay my pittance. So I "support" the library, you know what I mean? This time they were a over a month late, I checked them out before the wedding, read two of them during the honeymoon, and was working on a third. So when I got the notice, I hated to part with them, yet was too busy to try to rush through them in a couple of days. So what do I do? I drop them in the box and run (actually speed off). Add this to the Netflix movies that I have had since before the wedding and a pattern starts to emerge...
So one afternoon this week, I was telling my husband about my day and mention I dropped off my library books, but didn't go into to pay the fine. You would think I burned a book by his reaction! I just looked at him and said What? What's the problem? I'll pay it when I go and have more time to actually check books out! At least I GO to the library! He's been reading the same books since I met him! Granted they are good books with educational information and not fluffy chick lit, but still... he just shook his head..
I get a small kick out of this for some odd reason...

The Karma Gods~
I'm a people watcher, I like to study people, sometimes I like to draw people. I have acute social anxiety so I don't really talk to strangers per say. Not unless they talk to me first. I smile at people, I'm polite to people and I like to think that I am an unthreating element of the surroundings when strangers are forced to gether, say a grocery line (I never let them carry my bags out by the way).
So today I went to see about getting my hair done and having the Spa Day that I was suppose to have earlier this week. My hairdresser was about to go to lunch, and I said that's fine.I'll get my manicure, pedicure and waxing done first. Whe you are having 4 things doen, usually one of them can be started and you get booked for first available after that, it works out well.
There was a lady with short spiky hair sitting there, I don't know how long she had been there, but all of a sudden I feel this electricty shooting out of her. And that's where the Karma Gods come in..they must have started a rain dance around her in a invisible circle. She barks out.. WHAT'S THE HOLD UP? She wanted to be first as she has short hair and just needed her eyebrows done. She didn't have a hairdresser, she didn't have an appointment and apparently she didn't have any time to spare. She bullied one of the hair dressers into squeezing her eyebrow waxing in before his next appointment, no sooner does she start to follow him, when his appointment arrived. No luck there. Needless to say she had to sit back down, by this time nobody wanted her in their chair. As I walked out after a deep conditioning treatment, shampoo, cut and blow out (a good hour and a half later), she was still there. I guess her mother never told her that her face would freeze into that frown if she didn't turn it upside down.. Her hair was all of 3/4 of an inch on her entire head she could have gone a week without a cut and you wouldn't know, I hope she has a better evening than she did this afternoon. Don't piss the karma gods off, it never works out to your advantage.

I have a tattoo, a small one on my bikini line, it's a little fluffy lamb jumping over a fence. My maiden last name was what prompted it. I was going to have it put further into the bikini area so I could grow it fuzzy, but when it came down to it..I wasn't comfortable with sitting there with a stranger for an hour!It didn't come out like I had imagined and I was so drunk that it wasn't easy for him to work on me, plus I firmly believe the lines aren't as crisp because I had so much alcohol in my blood! My husband loves to tease me about it and given the chance he will tell you it's a penguin, a butterfly anything but a lamb..some day I will have it redone...sober. It is however a fun spirited conversation piece..My husband gets to count sheep before he goes to bed...

My test results were fine! Yay no cancer ! And since he removed everything polyp wise, while he was looking around in there last week, I don't have to have that done for 8 more years (unless of course we have more problems like the one that prompted this past exploration)!
It was so damn hot yesterday, I couldn't enjoy Orlando like I usually do. I just wanted to get home where the temp is a lovely 76 degrees inside!
Today is suppose to be my Spa Day. Hair Cut, Deep Conditioning Treatment, Blow out and Style, Manicure and Pedicure, and of course the never ending waxing. However, I don't feel like doing it today. I want to surprise honey by doing some painting, we have been talking about it for awhile and I want to get it started at least. He's in charge of the garden and the lawn, I do all the decorating stuff. So I am off to Lowe's...wish me well, I am the world's messiest painter, I think more paint ends up on me than whatever I'm painting!

Happy Hump Day!

Keep the party going! Manic is in the lead for being nominated Party Animal Queen of my Blog for a week!
I have to pause here, leave the beach and go to Orlando for my Katie Couric Special results. If all is good, I may spend some time shopping since I hate wasting all that gas on 120 mile round trip for one Dr's visit!
Party On! Party On! Stay as long as you want or leave and come back! Chat amongst yourselves, raid the fridge! Jump in the pool! Put some music on and dance, dance, dance!
Be good to yourselves! Be Happy, Joyous and Free!
It's beautiful sunny day here in Florida!

Manic Mom and R Martini's contest was such a cool way to discover a new blog that it got me thinking..

I am hosting an Open House Party, A Mixer, a Meet and Greet! Let's see what kinda of party animals we have out there! Everyone who reads my blog is invited to come by my invitation, in addition I will go to 5 blogs and invite them to come here, the person who brings the most bloggers with them to my open house will be crowned King or Queen of TTQ's world for one week. The winner gets to give me 5 topics , one for each day, and I will blog about it! The topics of the winner will be the ones I blog about for 5 days in a row I don't get to pick from a list, the topics are mandatory!

If you are invited ask all your bloggers to come to my open house and of course tell me who sent them..

And again don't forget to go to R Martini's blog and tell him I sent you!

I'm off to personally ask 5 bloggers to attend my party....

Monday, August 07, 2006

Manic Momand R Martiniare having a contest, Martini has to blog every day for a week. Ok.. easy part done..the second challenge is to get 5 people a day to come to his site. You have to leave a comment saying who's blog you got there by. Then you get to suggest 3 topics for him to blog about on the next day.. He picked mine today.. I'm not going to tell you what it says (Go but if you click on today's topic comment section, you will find out all the latest contest winners. And that is where you mention that TTQ sent you (I get a point for each visitor that leaves a comment. I know it all sounds very confusing at least to me anyway...

1) Go visit R Martini (and you don't even have to find him, I linked it for you)
2) Tell R Martini TTQ sent you
3) Leave three topics for him to blog about (You might win!)

I think this a pretty cool way to keep blogging alive and well..So..Go..Hurry! NOW!!!

Saturday, August 05, 2006

You might see a different template everytime you visit my site for awhile, I'm having trouble finding a template I really like. Hopefully this post will show up, I keep writing posts and they aren't showing up! Grrr..

Friday, August 04, 2006

I'm a slacker this week when it comes to posting. I did get my meds, so we don't have to worry about me going postal. I have not gotten my test results from my Katie Couric Special. I figure they have to be fine or else the doctor would have called by now. Apparently when Dr's find out bad news, they call you right away. Or at least that's my mom's logic. She said that when she had breast cancer they told her the same day. So I'm trying not to worry about it. I'm not obssessing over it anyway, it is lurking in the back of my head though.
So I got a shitty review about my blog on someone elses blog. That would have hurt alot more if I hadn't looked at her blog. And by the way I asked for it. Apparently, in some circles it's a privledge to get your blog bitch slapped by these women.

Last night I had a dream that one of my best friends won about 1.5 million dollars. He gave me 175,000. In my dream I trying to decide what I was going to do with the money and then I woke up. I wonder if I had kept dreaming would I have blown it all in a month on say a new car, some new furniture, some house renovations or would I have invested it. Or would I saveur looking at the large amount in my checking account for as long as possible. I mean it's FREE money, unexpected money! I don't have a car payment, a house payment or credit card debt. What would I do first? Or better yet, what would you do with 175,000?
