I Caved.

I totally caved. I finally covered the few grey hairs (ahem, it was only 6! I swear!). Oh course Mom and Honey had their two cents floating around in my head for a month, Like "Can't you color that right out?" "Well yes, I could, but I'm not going too." So after a month of staring in the mirror plucking those 6 hairs out, I decided it is Fall, maybe I could go a little darker, maybe something with a nice undertone too it. And it begins, it always does for me innocently enough, but then it becomes an obsession. A nice all over color becomes worthy of a few highlights..damn that looks better, I bet if I put in a few lowlights..wow holy shit, my hair is awesome. Pretty soon, I have to have it cut exactly every six weeks, more highlights added , a few more lowlights and I'm up to a hair routine that I purposely stopped dying my hair for. And a very costly vice too. I think I need a twelve step program. Hi my name is TTQ and I'm powerless over hair coloring.

I know what you mean. I pluck PURE WHITE AS SNOW hairs out of my head all the time, and it freaks me out. But, I haven't gotten to the point where I think anyone will notice, so I don't bother doing much more than that. I know if I started experimenting with color, I would be done for and so would my wallet!

Shoot me over an Etsy convo about your custom order and let me know what I can do for ya! This time of year is good for biz 'cuz there's a lot of birthdays and Christmas is comin'...

I was just pondering whether or not to throw a bottle of color on my locks because since I got it cut short, I really notice my grays. My hesitation is mostly due to the upkeep, as you mentioned...

The other reason for my hesitation is I'm not sure what color to go with.

Hello, my name is Carolynne and I am also an addict. Seriously, it's such a vicious cycle and so hard to stop!

Would love to see a picture of the color. I am trying to avoid coloring as long as I can but it looks like I am going to have to start to do it. I hate gray hairs. Of course my kids give me most of them.

Corker- mine were stark white too which would be cool if it all turned that white overnight.

Andrea- I let Honey pick the color. And I probably will next time too. He did a good job.

Carolynne- You mean your hair isn't natural?

Cubmommy, I haven't taken any pictures yet really, none that I would post. I'm anti-make up the past few days.

That's a great idea! I see if my hubby will pick my color for me. :) You're brilliant!

I wish I had someone who would come over (or hell live here) and pick out my clothes, and do my make-up and hair for me each day. I could just tell them what I want to look like for the day and they could fix me right up.

Like say I want to look sleek and seductive while being classy but I feel fat today. And Poof! They could just transform me.

Just keepin it pretty, I like that. Better than keepin it real.

I think your hair is gorgeous!

I'm cheap. I dye my own hair. I get tons of compliments, even from stylists!

just sayin... it could be as reasonable as a $10 bottle of Loreal Superior Preference. :)
